Letter to David Cooke, 1814 August 9.

Letter to Mr. David Cooke regarding care for the Ship "Etna." His orders are to move her below the Louisville Falls before the ice starts to form and to use the "Etna" to tow the hull of a New Orleans boat. He encloses $500 for the "Etna"'s account and asks for all receipts to be sent to him. A postscript asks Cooke to keep receipts regarding the New Orleans hull separate from receipts for the "Etna." Written at New York, N.Y.
